Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki (弱キャラ友崎くん, Jaku-kyara Tomozaki-kun) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yūki Yaku and illustrated by Fly. Shogakukan has published 11 volumes+Short Story Volumes/Drama CD since May 2016 under their Gagaga Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Eito Chida has been serialized via Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Gangan Joker since December 2017, the manga also received spin-off manga serialization on Apr 25, 2020 illustrated by Yoshida Bana. It has been collected in 6 tankōbon volumes for main volumes and 1 tankōbon volume so far for the spin-off manga. The light novel is licensed in North America by Yen Press and the English translation is by Winifred Bird and in few multiple languages. An anime television series adaptation produced by Project No.9 has been announced and broadcasted on January 8, 2021 and still airing.

The series was acquired for print publication by Shogakukan, who published the first light novel, with illustrations by Fly, under their Gagaga Bunko imprint on May 18, 2016.
Later, Yen Press has licensed the novels and is set to publish an English translation on July 30, 2019 under the title Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki.

The anime production was announced on around October 2019 and season 1 aired on January 2021 from January 8, 2021, with an additional anime-original episode written by Yuuki Yaku and character design by Akano Yane following the series on January 8, 2021. It was directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and produced by Project No.9.
The light novel series ranked eighth in 2017, seventh in 2018 and third in 2019 and 2020 in Takarajimasha's annual light novel guide book Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!, in the bunkobon (文庫本) category.
