Aoi was extremely upset and because of how she acted, Fumiya didn't trust her, even when she became his life teacher. And Fumiya felt uneasy when he felt that she was dating Takahiro.

Fuuka had lent Fumiya some tissues before. She seemed like a fairy, but then Aoi told him that Fuuka would serve as a love interest, which made Fumiya very nervous and doubted that he would have a chance. Fumiya continued to talk with Fuuka, showing up at where she worked, he even lied about liking the same books as her, Fumiya took Fuuka on a date via Aoi's orders and he had a good time, Fumiya would also help Fuuka with her novels by reading them and giving her honest feedback as she told him not to sugar coat his words as if she did become a pro novelist she would get negative comments and review so she needs to hear them early, Fumiya never badmouthed her work but gave her constructive criticism. Fumiya hung out with Fuuka a lot in their next semester and went to see fireworks. Fumiya trusted Fuuka a lot and he asked her to talk with Hanabi regarding the Erika situation as Fuuka was neutral with both. Fuuka then asked Fumiya about love trying to get a subtle hint that she liked him, Fumiya picked up the hint but played it off as a question about her novel. Fumiya eventually came clean with Fuuka about not liking the books she did, but told her that he liked the novels she wrote, Fuuka thanked him for being honest with her and she confessed to him and he reciprocated her feelings and the shared their first kiss

Fumiya views Minami as a super normie and is a little intimidated, but over time, they get along. Fumiya thinks that he is here naturally and that he should steal some tricks from her. When he goes home, Fumiya realizes that he is on the same train as Minami. She compares him to Hanabi. He thinks that she is supported by Hanabi and not vice versa as she says.

Fumiya gets along well with Hanabi. Fumiya met her through his interactions with Aoi and they became friends, Fumiya shows that he cares about her as he wanted to do something about her being bullied by Erika who was lashing out at people due to her personal issues. Fumiya helped her by having a chat, and he recorded and played it back to Hanabi, this made Hanabi realize that she is always way too harsh with her words so she started to improve.

Fumiya and Yuzu get along with each other. He teaches her to play Attack Families, so she can be Shuuji's practice partner. Yuzu was the first classmate that Aoi tasked Fumiya with talking to when she enacted get Fumiya to love real life, Fumiya asked her for a tissue, but Yuzu didn't have any. After this, Yuzu began to lean on Fumiya a bit and chat with him in class, and they became friends. Yuzu wanted Shuuji to notice her, so she asked Fumiya to help her get the blockhead's attention. Thanks to Fumiya teaching her how to play Attack Families, it worked. Even after she started dating Shuuji, Yuzu continued to talk with Fumiya. Yuzu is also one of the few people in the series that Fumiya has been seen teasing, as he made fun of her for getting embarrassed over a topic that she brought up.

At first, they haven't interact with each other. Eventually, Takahiro is impressed when Fumiya talks back at Erika for insulting Shuuji's effort. Takahiro is one of the few people who call him by his first name, the other being Shuuji, Takahiro also enjoys putting his arm around Fumiya when he talks to him to show that they are buds.

Shuuji used to bully Fumiya and would always make him do things he didn't want to do, but Fumiya then found out that Shuuji loved the Game Attack Families, so Fumiya started to play against Shuuji and always won, this motivated Shuuji into working hard until he could beat Fumiya, Shuuji managed to take one of Fumiya's hearts in a match but he still lost and Erika mocked him for it but Fumiya told her not to mock someone who is working hard, During their vacation Fumiya was tasked with making fun of Shuuji three times which he managed to do and now they are good friends and hang out at the arcade after school, Shuuji then started to call Fumiya by his first name but shortened it to "Fumin".
Fumiya became friends with Takei on the vacation trip, he thinks of Takei as a meat head like everyone else and he dislike the nickname Army Boy that Takei gave him due to Fumiya being well endowed and Takei picked him up in the bath to show Shuuji and Takahiro just how insane it was, However Fumiya will ask Takei for help like when he needed him to help support Hanabi when the latter was being Bullied by Erika.
